ADULT EDUCATION AND TRAINING

GPTC offers multiple adult education options (both in-person and online) including:

​

  • FREE High School Equivalency test prep tutoring (Both GED and the newer HiSET tests)

  • FREE Basic Skills classes in reading, math, and language/writing tutoring

  • Ability to Benefit (ATB) program that gives people without a high school credential GED the change to take the GED, then get a federal PELL grant and/or state HOPE grant to complete a certificate or diploma program 

  • Truist Grant Career Pathways program that offers a 5-week GED course AND additional training for manufacturing, basic forklift operation, industrial maintenance and welding

Georgia Institute of EMS offers basic and advanced Emergency Medical Technician training. Complete training starts for as little as $3,600.
